need the help of those who had the multiple miscarriage bloodwork
I'm a little concerned....the nurse from the doctors office just called me and said that I have to make an appointment to come in for a consult about the results of my multiple miscarriage bloodwork. I asked her if I should be concerned about the fact that I have to actually come in and speak to the doctor about the results and she said no - that's just how they do it. But still I'm worried that I'm going in because they'll have bad news for me and dont wanna give it to me over the phone. Anyone have any experience with getting these blood tests results?

Don't panic sweetie. Every dr. likes to do things differently than another dr. IF it is something, then at least they found it and if it is it could be something as easy as taking meds to correct it. But don't think that way--- it'll be ok. We're all here for you.

Re: need the help of those who had the multiple miscarriage bloodwork
My doctor had me come in after my CD 3 bloodwork also (which had me worried) but it was just to give me the actual numbers/results and talk about what they mean. They were all normal. And to talk about what we do from there..

The only bad thing that came out of mine is I found out I had a clotting disorder. Which- is easily correctable.

The WORST possible scenario wopuld be to continue getting pregnant without answers. This is step in the right direction. Take it from me-I know! There are treatments for most of these issues-I had a basically problem free pregnancy until the very end when i was given a c-section for high blood pressure. I took prednisone for 18 weeks and lovenox for the whole pregnancy

Lisa, I think it's just the standard procedure, I always had an appointment pending at some point so I just asked during an appointment.
You'll be ok!

They like to do everything in person there ....Try to think of this as just another step in the right direction, I know its hard

Re: need the help of those who had the multiple miscarriage bloodwork
When my results came back, I had just found out I was pregnant again. They called me and told me to start taking baby aspirin but I had to come in to talk to the doctor. I was in a panic, of course, because it was a weekend and I had to wait until monday to see the doctor. I called and spoke to one of the NPs who were able to explain a little more to me. Basically, I have a clotting issue and I take lovenox - a blood thinner. Like Mel said - the worst is that you DON'T find out what issues you may have and keep having miscarriages. If they found something, they will be able to help you manage it so you can have a healthy pregnancy.

Re: need the help of those who had the multiple miscarriage bloodwork
I really don't think there is any bad news they can tell you that they can't fix. Plenty of doctors prefer to give results, good or bad, in person. I'm sure it's find. I hope it is something and something simple so that you know what the issue is and that it can be fixed. KWIM???

Re: need the help of those who had the multiple miscarriage bloodwork
Yes, my RE had me come in as well. Only to tell me that my previous losses were just "bad luck" and to go ahead and try again.
