Need to buy a new comfortable sofa that’s cheap
I will be using the couch for about seven months and will either giveaway to a friend for free or donate. I see online stores like Joss & Main, Wayfair, overstock, also Sam’s club, and Walmart have sofas for around $500 and I am debating buying one from them. I may have to rely on online reviews since I may not be able to try first. Has anyone bought a comfortable sofa that’s not too firm online and liked it?

Look at the Ashley website - they have cheap prices, but I don't know how comfortable anything is. If you see something you like, you can go to a store to check it out in person.

We got a nice sofa from Bob's.
If you have a Habitat for Humanity ReStore nearby, that would be a good place to check out. They are picky about what they take. I recently got a really nice chair and ottoman for $25, it's in great shape.

When I went to Ashley months ago, the cheapest sofa I saw was $600 plus tax and it was too firm. I think they charge over $300 in for Home delivery so it’s not worth it to get it from there.

They charge like $60 for delivery...I just bought my son a bed there. I can't imagine any company charging $300 to deliver a couch, that is NUTS!

I don’t want to buy an used one for couple of reasons. The sofa is for an apartment out of state and there are no Bob’s locations there.

The sofa is for a place out of state and Ashley doesn’t have locations there. I looked up online and they charge $349 to deliver.. could be because they are not local.

Jennifer Convertibles! They have a sale going...$299 for a full sofa with a pull out. I had one for years & the sofa was really comfortable.

I'm not sure of the name of the one I had, it was a while ago. But the one on their website that looks exactly like it is the Darcy sofa...on sale right now for $298!

Another Ikea fan here. We have a dog who goes on the couch so i don't buy expensive furniture. I've had both of these and both were super comfy and held up really well. I currently have the second one and i honestly love it.
1st is $155, 2nd is $399.

Another Ikea fan here. We have a dog who goes on the couch so i don't buy expensive furniture. I've had both of these and both were super comfy and held up really well. I currently have the second one and i honestly love it.
1st is $155, 2nd is $399.

If you're looking for a 2-3 seater, check out Homegoods. Esp since its temporary. You'll pay no more than $400 and their stuff is pretty good. Also check out Macy's furniture outlet by Roosevelt field. I was the a few days ago and they have soooooooo much stuff!!!

go to the macy's furniture outlet in carle place they have a ton of discounted sofas there. We got the kenton sofa (reg. $899) with the storage ottoman ($599), for $300 total

No, we did the service where they delivered and put it together for us, so i can't comment on that part. I find most of their stuff to be annoying to put together, but not to the point where it would stop me from purchasing.

The only thing that I had to put together was the feet on the bottom...super easy. I have to say I fall asleep on my couch more than I like to admit!
