Need vet for pet hedgehog

Anyone know a good vet who works with exotics? Not a dog and cat vet, but one who is certified to care for exotics? My daughter was given a pygmy hedgehog which is darling, but we think has mites.

Never used her and dont know anyone who has, but I pass her office often. It's not far from Walt Whitman mall. You could give them a call.

Thanks. I do know of Heidi Hoffer, she's well known and respected as a bird vet. It makes sense that she might treat exotics.

We've made an appointment for the hedgehog with Dr. Piscotta at the North Fork Animal hospital. It turns out he's treated many of the little guys.
