Nervous about having two under two (and three - three and under)...

I'm more nervous that there won't be enough of me to go around. I'm home with my three year old and one year old now and things are ok. When DC#3 comes I don't know how it's going to be. I'm due in less than 10 weeks but worried about how DS#2 will react.

Put my mind at ease:)

When I had #3, my other 2 hardly noticed the new addition. It was summertime, and they were outside playing, and really did not even seem to notice the new baby. I tell everyone that going from 1 baby to 2 babies was HARD, but going from 2 to 3 was a PIECE OF CAKE!

My 2 older ones were 2 and 3 when #3 came along.

DD was 32 months and DS was 15 months old when #3 was born.
I was a nervous wreck about how the other 2 would react. There was some jealousy, there was clinging and needy behavior and then there was LOTS of interest in the new baby.

They would mimic the mothering behavior with dolls, they help with her (even now) and there is so much interaction amongst them all.

What's great is the older 2 will play together (with some fighting) without my being in the same room for a little while.

Going from 2 to 3 was tremendously easier than going from 1 to 2.

Thank you both so so much. It's great to hear and does put me at ease. I kind think that's how it will be. It's good to also hear that you both had such young kids as well. We just bought a new swingset which DS will be putting together, I think this will help a lot.

I have to say that I am happy that I'm having a Summer baby rather than a Winter baby again:)
