New Dinner Ideas
DH wants to make something really different tomorrow for dinner. He said he feels like we keep make the same things. He plays raquetball Tuesday nights so it's a perfect night for me to make something but I'm kinda at a loss, we make a variety of things but I think he wants to go really outside of the box Any ideas? TIA

Re: New Dinner Ideas
My new kick is Paninis on the George Foreman grill.
I use sourdough bread. Spread butter on the outside side of each slice, pesto on the other. Layer turkey breast, prociutto or pancetta, mozzarella cheese, sliced tomatoes and basil leaves. Then grill.
I bought all my ingredients through fresh direct (GREAT bread and meats).

Re: New Dinner Ideas
What box are you in?
My twist on sausage is: 1 package bulk sausage (or links taken out of the casing) whole wheat pasta large bag baby spinach petite diced tomatoes chicken stock/wine
Cook pasta brown sausage when cooked add petite diced tomatoes w/ juice. Then add chicken stock (enough to make sauce for the pasta) About 1-2 minutes before pasta is cooked, put spinach on top of sausage to wilt.
Mix pasta & sausage and serve
====================== Another quick one is a jar of salsa and cooked chicken....
add corn, black beans and serve over rice layer w/ soft tortillas with cheese - make a mexican lassagna
=====================
I recently discovered skirt steak - very flavorful - take marinade well - quick cooking.

Re: New Dinner Ideas
Thanks everyone these sound great! We make alot of Italian, spanish/Mexican or regular american type dishes. We have a variety but DH really just wants to reach out there and go waaaaay different. I think we both need to spice things up a bit.
We both LOVE skirt steak, we bought the mixed seasoning from Trader Joes and did a dry rub with it and it was amazing!!
