New Dove ad
Do you think the new Dove ad is good? Do you think it would sell the product better? OR do you think that a normal (very skinny, traditional as of todays standards) non-curve model would be better?
There seems to be some controversy on the ad, and I was just curious. My opinion is that I think it would sell just the same or better with the new ad.

I don't mind the ad. If anything it's reassuring women that the normal body doesn't need to look like Paris Hilton's.

the ad for the firming lotion. and the logo "real women have real curves". this is a controversy in my office and this ad so just want to know what you guys think. dove site and the campaign for real beauty

They have a poster of the new ad in the women's locker room at my gym. After having a baby, I really don't want to look at anyone who is in "perfect" shape anyway.

I actually have commented on how much I like this ad. It is so nice to see normal sized women! DH and I were in the mall and they had it on one of the display boards and I even said something to him about it.
His comment was...who would like those ridiculously skinny models anyway

EXACTLY.....sure it is nice that people are breaking away the "perfect body" but come on....
Who cares....I am not going to run out and buy Dove over it

Actually --- we buy Dove anyway!!
I might be enticed to buy the product if I didn't already, just because I like when a company breaks from the mold and maybe makes a statement that means something to me.
Example, I like to buy Newman's Own -- I like the products, AND I like what the company does. I am willing to pay a few pennies more if need be.

I actually bought Kaboom the other day cause I saw a commercial about what it would do. And let me tell ya that stuff rocked and it did what it said it would do.
