New Fed Chairman?
I am watching this one closely. Could have big impacts to the economy. While I think Yellen is very conservative, I worry about going too sharply in the other direction.

Re: New Fed Chairman?
Nobody has thoughts on this? Concerns?? This could be a big factor for our economy. I didn't expect Trump to keep Yellin on but I am not 100% convinced this was the right guy.

Re: New Fed Chairman?
I am not sure about him and am reserving my judgement. From all that I read about him and heard on the financial news networks he was at least involved with the fed previously on a lower level and actually has a finance background. I am not sure if he will be good or bad, but I think he has the support of the finance community. What does concern me is that Trump will have the ability to replace five of seven members of the fed.

New Fed Chairman?
From what I've read, which I'll admit isn't a ton, it seems like Powell is not sharply in the other direction. He's worked with Yellen, and he at least appears to have the same approach as Yellen. People are concerned that he has more of a finance background than an economics background, but they also seem to say he's spent the last few years learning the economics.

All good points. My concern is that his business hat will start to conflict with that of the economists at the Fed. We all need to be watching this closely. The rates were scheduled to raise fairly consistently over next year. Yellin was quick to change her mind on those things. I don't know if he will be as cautious. Too quick in the other direction and we can be screwed.
