Breastfed and bottle fed - should I be changing to a new nipple?
My dd is almost 4 months and I have her using the slow flow still because she still nurses. Should she be using medium?

My EBF DS always used the slowest flow nipple possible. He wound up not caring for bottles around 9 months old and transitioned easily to a straw cup at that point.

It really depends on her. Is she frustrated? Are feedings taking forever? It is worth a try. I switched my DS to medium around 6 months but honestly now at 9 months I just grab whatever nipple is clean and don't bother to check the size. At first he didn't like the MF, I guess he wasn't use to how fast it came out but he adjusted as he got older. He will basically take whatever.

i kept the slow flow nipple until we ditched bottles around 18 months. especially if you're still breastfeeding, i wouldn't want to risk the baby preferring a fast bottle nipple to your real nipple. i guess it took my LO a while to drink bottles but who cares? in my opinion, it's less important to get through a feeding quickly and more important to preserve the breastfeeding relationship

I never changed from slow flow. My nipple doesn't change so I didn't see a reason to change the bottles. I didn't want her to get frustrated while nursing if she got used to a faster flow bottle while I was at work.

Thank you everyone. I think I'll stick with slow
