New MBR Closet - Done (pics & poll)
We have been off since Dec. 20th, so we decided to do some small projects around the house while we have this time off. So we picked our Master Bedroom Closet. It's small and we needed to make the most out of it, so we put in a closet organizer.
All that was in this closet was a wood bar straight across....no shelf.
Now this is what it looks like with the doors back on.
Would you keep these mirrored doors or put something else? Maybe doors like our interior doors (in the right of the pic)? We can't put bi-fold, because I wouldn't be able to get in and out of the left side of the closet easily. Do you think leaving the mirrored doors or new mirrored doors makes a room look bigger? The room is only 13x11. Thanks for your opinions.

I would personally go with doors to match your BR doors. Is that functional for you though? In the end go with whatever makes your day to day life easier!

Your BR and Closet are very nice! I like the mirrored doors but I have a thing for matching doors or fabric on a rod.

I'm not usually a fan of mirrored doors, but I will say that they are functional! DH has them on his closet and I use it every day.

Re: New MBR Closet - Done (pics & poll)
We have 2 of those closets in our MBR and have a very smilar shelving system in both of them.
I don't mind the mirrored doors bc I find them very useful. DD has them in her room and I am constantly going in there after I get dressed in the morning to see myself....
What I do find VERY annoying about my sliding doors is that it's really hard to access everything on the closet. I have been meaning to get bi fold doors forever, but I haven't around to it...

OK - I am a tool b/c as I was scrolling through your progression pics, as soon as I got to the filled closet pick - I literally said "yay!"
I'm so excited for you!
The mirrored v. no mirrored doors. Functional/practical v. aesthetic? For me, I always vote practical.

I like doors that match your trim and bedroom door but the practical side of me says to keep the mirrored doors.
Saves money on new doors and you wouldn't need a full length mirror elsewhere.

The Mirrored doors make the room look bigger but I would go with the 6 panels to match the rest of the doors in the house

Re: New MBR Closet - Done (pics & poll)
My closet is similar (I can take and post pics if you want) and my room is small.
I would go with mirrored bi-fold doors. More expensive, but you can get to everything in the closet. By using bi-fold sliders, it will make it hard to reach the stuff on the shelves in the middle of the closet, because you can't really get the doors out of the way. I think the bi-fold doors look a little nicer too.

Re: New MBR Closet - Done (pics & poll)
That looks great! I think that I would probably just leave the doors (unless you have another full length mirror) in which case I would replace them with the raised panels.

Re: New MBR Closet - Done (pics & poll)
Love the organizer...where did you get it?
I saw a beautiful mirror door at Home Depot. It was a regular door though, not a bi-fold or a slider. I know some mirrored doors can look dated, but it's always nice to have a full length mirror.

Re: New MBR Closet - Done (pics & poll)
Great job! We have the mirrored doors in our bedrooms as well. We also talked about replacing them, but after living in our home for over 2 months we find them way too useful to replace (getting ready in the morning & enlarges the room).

Re: New MBR Closet - Done (pics & poll)
Thanks everyone! Everytime I go into the closet now, it feels so nice and new.....love it. We bought this at Home Depot. Lowe's also carries it. It's made by ClosetMaid.
I think for now I will keep the mirrored closet doors. I don't have another full length mirror in the whole house, so I would have to buy one if we did the 6 panel doors instead. But I think I would like to buy new mirrored closet doors, maybe not right now though. I will have to paint the trim on the present ones, because they are peeling in a few places from the previous owners. We will see. Thanks for everyone's opinion.

Re: New MBR Closet - Done (pics & poll)
The closet looks amazing!
Its really crazy how a closet organizer solves sooo many problems!!!!!! I like the mirrored closet doors, mirrors always make the room look bigger and its great for getting dressed, you have 2 great mirrors right there.
Great job!
