New Mom coming home tomorrow...
A friend of mine is coming home tomorrow. She and her husband are at a loss for what to have on the ready for her (the mom). Her mom and dad are in their 80s and her ILs are in their 70s... and they're the first to have a baby... so she has no idea what to have at home for herself. She had a vaginal delivery and tore a little.
What did you need when you came home??
This is what I have so far:
Preparation H
Gauze pads
Witch Hazel
Pads
Anything else?? I know there was more.

The hospital provided me with a pain relieving spray (dermaplast) and a cream too
When I left I asked for more to take home and they gave it to me.
Worked great
I also took home the peri bottle- it was soothing after using the toilet.
My mom bought me preperation H wipes- really just witch hazel wipes
That was it.
I had a pretty easy recovery though
Oh and I loved the Always Infinity maxi pads over the hospital pads- they were less bulky and absorbed great.

Did she get a peribottle (squirt type) from the hospital. You need that to rinse the area.
Overnight pads
Grandma hanes undies.....like $8 for a 7 pack.....fig I didnt care if I ruined those undies and not my good ones

Ask for 2 of them if she has a second bathroom. Nothing is worse than not having that sucker with you because you left it in the other bathroom!
