Hi and congratulations on your Chat Icon !!!! When my Chat Icon was a week old, I would BF him and then when I pumped - due to engorgement like you - I would give him 2 oz of the pumped breastmilk at a time. Most of the time he wouldn't even drink that much but it was a good base to start with per the pediatrician. GOOD LUCK AND WELCOME!!!!

I agree with the above. We gave 2oz. at night.

Or, continue feeding as much as you want from your breast and freeze the extra pumping. That's what I started doing after a few weeks. You are just establishing your supply now (Although it sounds like a lot), so you don't necessarily want to supplement.

Once your supply is established, around 8 weeks, then you can really start giving those extra bottle feedings. Then you can get DH do a feeding to give you some time away.

Congrats!!!!!!!!!

I went with the 1 oz for 1 hour philosophy - so depending on how long it had been.
