New moms-New Ped question
I have a new pediatrician and he said that part of his "standard" infant procedures is that he sends any baby with a history of being breech (ds was breech for about 2 months-but born head down) for x-rays to rule out hip dysplasia- anyone hear of this???

Re: New moms-New Ped question
I had to bring DS to a pediatric orthopedist to rule out hip dysplasia at 2 months b/c the ped. heard clicking in his hips when examining him. They dont do x-rays (or they shouldnt they are too young). They did a sonogram of DS's hips. Luckily he was ok, but I do have to go back at 6 months to double check.
I'm not sure if it is standard procedure for breach babies, but it defientely wasnt a big deal to take him to get it checked out. If you want the dr I used let me know.
