Do I want to fly to NY for a weekend trip with a newborn and an 17 mth old???

The ped also mentioned "barring any health issues"....I guess that means reflux or something

I think the newborn part will be the easy part. I assume you'll be getting a seat for Aly or will DH have one and you'll have the other?

I think I'd ask the IL to get Alyson her own seat. If she has her own seat, do we use the carseat too??

I've had numerous friends fly with infants and had great success.
If she is under 2 I believe she has to be in a carseat.

Yes if she has her own seat you purchase it in her name and you bring the car seat. She doesn't have to stay in it except for take off and landing.

I flew with the boys this past weekend. We didn't get Nate his own seat, while it wasn't too bad if we had the money I would have done it. We have no choice now bc he's 2, but it does make things easier when the older one has their own seat.
