New Moms...and labor
So, I only have 9 days to go and of course I have a MILLION and one questions! When your water broke, was it a big gush??? I am trying to prepare myself for the days ahead since I have already lost most of my mucus plug(or so I think!)

With my first, it was a trickle, kind of like a slow leak.
With my second it was a GUSH.

My water broke but it was not a big gush, it just kept coming out over a couple of hours.

Sorry I did not have my water break and I did not lose my mucus plug ( I don't think)...I was induced and wound up with a c-section

My water never broke either time (on its own). The first I lost my mucus plug and the second time - I had just started to.

I lost my mucus plug but my water didnt break on its own...when the dr. broke my water...it felt like a trickle

my water never broke, even though I was having contractions for days before I delivered. I thought it was weird, but then my mom told me that her water never broke either with any of her 3.

They broke my watrer for me in the hospital and it was a big, warm gush. Yuck!

My water broke on it's own and it was a slow leak.
If you ever think your water has just broken - it's always a good idea to call the doctor. I had no idea that's what had happened, but called the doctor just in case.

I never went into labor on my own. I lost my mucus plug right before Thanksgiving, but needed to be induced a week later.
I had my water broken for me, it was a huge gush!!! I would have definitely know that my water broke if that happened anywhere.
It's funny I used to put a towel on my car seat, it would NOT have matter at all!!

mine was a trickle. Almost mised it actaully. Like I was peeing myself every time I stood up...
AND I had an excessive amount of amniotic fluid and I still only got the trickle.

I don't believe I lost my mucus plug, I never noticed it..
but my water did break, when I stood up out of bed, for me, it gushed out 2 small puddles on my floor... then the next couple of hours it slowly trickled out..and then at the hospital about 7 hours later when I saw the Dr, he said he broke my membranes more, so I guess it didn't break totally?

no big gush more like few smaller gushes... and the water kept on coming out once in a while while I was in labor...

No, mine broke on its own at the hospital about 15 mins after they did their first internal exam. - I was in triage - so I was laying down/partially sitting up. It felt more like all of a sudden I wasn't sure if I peed or my water broke You will know unless it is just a small leak - but I was told by my doctor (b.c I thought mine had broken with a small leak a few days before I went into labor) it will continue to drip/leak continuously

baby #1-
lost mucus plug all at once an hour into labor
water broke on it's own in one huge gush 3.5 hours into labor (4 hour labor). i actually heard the gush!
baby #2-
lost mucus plug in bits over a week.
they broke my water for me in the hospital as at this point I'd been in labor for nearly 6 hours but was 10cm dilated. It gushed as well, but since i was lying down for it, each time i moved or sat up more, more came out. i would laugh and tell dh, either more came out or i totally just peed myself. (i could feel it coming from my tummy so i hadn't relieved myself on the bed )

they broke my water when i was 10 CM dialated and ready to push, it was bulging but wouldnt break on its own. i honestly didnt feel it b/c i had the epideral
