I've been there, didn't see much for kids to do, but I wasn't really looking because I wasn't there with my daughter.
Not sure I'd go out of my way to go with kids to be honest.
It's more activities for adults

There is a great aquarium and cute bayou tours with crocodilles. There is that steam boat tour that does music.
It’s enough for a good kid experience. Helps if your kids are foodies.
I’ve only done it in October.
