new windows... does this sound like a reasonable price?

i got an estimate today on new windows. i have 14 windows plus 1 picture window.

the price quoted was $8909 for double-hung windows.

the price includes removal of the ones i have, inspection for rotten wood/replacement, installation, cap the outside. and they come with a transferable lifetime warranty

that sounds reasonable to me, but it's good to get more quotes.

Re: new windows... does this sound like a reasonable price?

Yes, that sounds very reasonable, depending on what type of windows.

We paid $6K for 9 windows and installing french doors (we paid for the doors already). We have Andersen double hung 400 series. The windows were about $400 a window, and we had really really old windows (from the 1960s!).

He also put moulding around the windows.

We had 15 windows put in and a bow window for 6 grand. They also removed the old windows.

We used Unified.

Are these new construction windows or replacements?
