newborn & ultrasound-did anyone take their baby?
I have to take dd who is only 2 weeks for a sonogram on Wed and I'm really making myself sick over it.
I'm so worried about the exam, results...the whole process.
If anyone has had to take their baby what was the procedure like?
Who gives you the results the technician?
Thanks for any info or tips I really appreciate it.

Our daughter was born with a dislocated hip. We had to take her for an ultrasound of the hip when she was 1 week old, and 2 times since then. She also had to wear a harness/brace 23 hours a day for the first 6 weeks of her life. None of this bothered her at all. The hip has just about healed, she has to wear the brace at night for a couple more weeks and then she is done.
The ultrasounds were a piece of cake-trust me, these types of things bother us as parents more than they bother our children.

My son was 3 months old when I had to take him for a sono of his stomach. It really wasnt bad at all. Just like the sonos that we got while pregnant. I think its easier at a young age, because they are not moving too much.
Also, we had to go to our docs right after the sono to get the results. Something came up on it, so maybe that is why they didnt tell us the results there. We had to go for a GI series the next day to the same place, and they called my dr and I spoke to him on the phone, because the results were pretty good.
Good luck....easier said than done, but try not to stress
