Newborn Feeding Schedule
Hi All;
My DD is now one month old (cant believe how quickly times goes!)...I have been feeding her between 2.5-3 oz of formula only every 3 hours (even over night, waking her up if sleeping).
Can everyone share what feeding schedule (How many oz, how often, etc) their newborns are/were on at about one month?
TIA

Re: Newborn Feeding Schedule
Seems about right. At that age you feed on demand however much they want.
Congrats!!

Re: Newborn Feeding Schedule
DD was drinking about 3-4oz at 1 month. Ranging anywhere from 3-4hrs apart. However, if I saw she was sleeping longer than that at night, I'd leave her sleeping! They say never to wake a sleeping baby :) She'll let you know when she's hungry
Now DD is almost 3 months and she's taking between 4-6oz every 3-4hrs and sleeping between 4-6hrs at a stretch at night!

And I agree.. as long as your dc reached his birth weight (after the loss from the hospital) there is no need to wake the baby to eat.

Re: Newborn Feeding Schedule
Feed on demand... I wouldnt wake her to eat. Every 3 hours and the amount you are feeding is about what I did.

Re: Newborn Feeding Schedule
I fed every 3 hrs and didn't wake at night. DS was STTN pretty early (but, he doesn't anymore).

She won't - we had a bunch of extenuating circumstances (a week long stomach flu, a change in formula, a cold, etc). I think now he's just used to getting up - he did STTN on Sunday night but, last night was just miserable.

Re: Newborn Feeding Schedule
DS is 7 weeks and drinks 4 - 5 ounces every 3 hours and about 24-26 ounces total per day.
At night he goes down at 8pm and wakes around 2 or 3 so that is a 6 or 7 hour stretch (he gets a 5 oucne bottle at 8 pm) then has 4 ounces and goes back down until about 6am.

Re: Newborn Feeding Schedule
DS is two weeks old and I feed him every 3 hours even overnight as well. Right now he's eating anywhere between 2-4 oz. The last two nights he's wanted 5oz around his 4pm feeding.
