Hi, It seems like there are soo many of us lately, so lets introduce ourselves and share a little info..

I am Tara, is Brody James William. He will be 4 weeks tomorrow.

Formula, Nestle Good Start DHA/ARA
4 ounces, every 3 hours

I have Ava, she is 4. She is having a very hard time adjusting and is jealous. Does anyone have any advice???

What are your biggest challenges right now?

Brody gets gassy and constipated. We do 1 ounce of Prune Juice a day, and I switched to the Good Start from Lipil, and I switched to Dr. Browns Bottles. We'' see how it goes.

What are your nicknames for baby?

Brody is - The Prince, Princey, Scooby Doo and Baby.

How are YOU feeling physically and emotionally?

Physically, I am getting over the bad headaches and backaches that I think were from the epi. For the last few days, my c-section incision has been sore.

Emotionally, I am good, It just gets very overwhelming trying to juggle 2, I guess it will get easier in time.

Have you weighed yourself yet? What clothes are you wearing??

I gained about 30. I lost 17, and have another 13 to go.

Nothing fits me. I am still wearing strechy maternity pants and big, empire shirts.

It is discouraging, but it will come off in time.

i am currently EBFing but with a pumped bottle once at night.

my biggest challenge right now is understanding his cries! i have figured out that he just cannot tolerate the formula i was giving him - just makes him too gassy and uncomfortable. so that's one cry eliminated

Luca has about a million nicknames, but we usually stick with Lucalu, Luca Paduca, Luca Butts, and Little Man

emotionally, i am pretty good - it's the exhaustion that was getting to me, but DH is really good about helping when he can. it just stinks that he works long hours, and has to be up early in the morning, so i have to do the night feedings and changings all by myself. DH had to start sleeping in the guest room b/c Luca was so fussy at night!

physically i feel great! i have had an amazing recovery from my c-section, and i do go for walks with DS, so i have lost about 25 of the 40 lbs i gained. i can't wait to get cleared to exercise more!! i am still nowhere near getting into my pre-preg clothes b/c my boobs are huge from BFing and my hips spread a lot. hoping that will be fixed soon!! i am wearing mostly stretchy pants but i am no longer wearing anything maternity, which makes me feel good.

I am Denise and my DD is Katelyn. She is 8 weeks old.

Our nickname for her is Katie

I am still on maternity leave and enjoy every minute I spend with her. I dont think I have any challenges right now. Everything has come pretty naturally to me. Although she is my first there are a lot of babies in my family. Just preparing to get her on a sleep schedule soon will prob be a challenge. She doesnt sleep through the night now but she does only get up for 1 bottle at night.

I am currently reading Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Baby. Very helpful.

Oh and as far as my weight . I lost all the pregnancy weight and am back to my old size, which was overweight to begin with. I have been trying really hard to eat right and exercise so I have lost 7 lbs in about 3 weeks. I feel good. But I hate how my belly is all jello and the stretch marks look horrible!

Hello, my name is Robyn, and Blake Harris is 2 1/2 weeks old. He is a preemie, but doing very well.

I have a 12 year old step-daughter who is so excited to have a little brother. She has been sick with strep the past few days, so we have kept her in her room becuase of the baby. She was OK with that, and can't wait until she can start helping and holding him again.

What are your biggest challenges right now?

Trying to get Blake on some sort of feeding schedule. Sometimes he's hungry after 3 hours, sometimes it's 4 1/2.

Monkey, Big Guy, Little Man

How are YOU feeling physically and emotionally?

Physically, my c-section incision has been sore.

Have you weighed yourself yet? What clothes are you wearing??

I got weighed at the dr.s office and have lost 10 of the 23 lbs. I gained. I have 13 to go of the pregnancy weight, and then 10 more to go after that. I was almost at my goal weight before I got pregnant. So back to WW I go.

Nothing fits me. I need to get few pair of lounge pants to hang around the house.

Hi my name is Christine and Ryan will be 8 weeks on Saturday. He is our first baby

We are using Similac Advance with Iron and he drinks about 3.5-4 ounces every 3 hours.

What are your biggest challenges right now?
the night seems to be the hardest. Ryan will get up every 3 hours to eat but after his 3:30 feeding he usually gets up an hour later and doesnt want to lay in his bassinet. He also will not burp at all at the night and i dont know if that is why he gets upset.

What are your nicknames for baby?

We have a lot of nick names....some are Little Man, Little baby pop pop,

my c-sect has been healing well and emotionally i am good

i gained 33lbs with this pregnancy and have 10lbs to lose. i have been living in my sweatpants because my jeans dont fit yet. i just ordered this post pregnancy core conditioning cd by helen byrne and hope to start using it soon.

What are your biggest challenges right now?

I think Jack has colic. We have been using some of the tricks with the happiest baby on the block and they have been working a lot. I also think he is gassy and makes a gagging motion. His 1 month appt. is on Monday so I have a list about 20 questions long for the dr. Also, not going out of the house that much is driving me a little nutty!

What are your nicknames for baby?

Jay, J.R. Little man, munchkin, He is totally not going to know his name.

How are YOU feeling physically and emotionally?

Physically, I am completely recovered from my c-section. Have been for about 2 weeks. I lift and move things around and have no pain or numbness in the area. I am tired though from lack of sleep.

Emotionally, I am ok. Like I said going a little stir crazy. I am also not so happy b/c I have to go back to work in 4 weeks and that makes me sad :(

I gained 19 and I have lost all of it plus a few ( I was over weight to begin with) I went back to WW and last week was my second weigh in and I lost 11 pounds total so far. I have a lot more to go. However, most pre-pregnancy clothes do not fit me me so far which is a little confusing to me! I am wearing mostly sweat pants around the house and a few pre-pregnancy strech courdoroy pants.

A little different but I have an almost 3year old younger sister who we live with. I would suggest maybe trying to have your daughter feel involved with the baby, help with the baths, help get bottles ready. Also spend alone time with your daughter.

What are your biggest challenges right now?

Just being nervous about every little thing, is her poop ok? is she eating enough? why is she spitting up?

How are YOU feeling physically and emotionally?

I feel pretty good physically.
Emotionally, it's a little tough not being able to get out.

I gained 37 pounds total and I've lost 24 so far!
I'm still wearing maternity jeans and sweatpants. I haven't tried on pre pregnancy clothes, and don't plan on it as I don't see my fat hips and thighs fitting into them anytime soon!

Formula, Enfamil Gentlease and he is taking about 4 ounces, every 2-3 hours. Usually at night he goes the full 3 hours but during the day is looking to eat every 2.

What are your biggest challenges right now?
Trying to figure out his eating habits. Sometimes he wants 4 ounces every 3 hours. At other times he wants 4 ounces every 2...or he wants a full 4 ounces every hour!! I just can't figure out when he wants to eat and at night it can be very frustrating b/c my sleeping is all screwed up. However, there have been nights where he goes 3 1/2 hours without a bottle.

What are your nicknames for baby? Danny, stinker, Bumkins, Wumkins..anything that sounds sorta silly.

How are YOU feeling physically and emotionally?
Physically, I feel great. I was fortunate enough to have a very easy delivery and had no stiches. I've felt great since the day after he was born.

Emotionally, I am good but I get a little overwhelmed not knowing DS's eating habits and trying to figure out what he wants. I am not as tired as I anticipated I'd be, but I am tired. I've had my fair share of tears just from my hormones being wacky, but that seems to have calmed down.

Haven't weighed myself yet. I only gained 18 pounds and DS was 8 pounds when he was born. I am already back into my pre-pregnancy clothing sized clothing but my body has changed so the clothing isn't fitting me the same. I can't wait to be able to exercise so I can get my tummy a little flatter.

-- Knowing I will have to leave her. Trying to figure out her sleeping schedule to get night to be night. She still has thrush and Im still trying to deal with being home alone with her.

-- Her pre-birth nickname is still used "Bubbles" and we call her "AJ" from time to time. I call her sunshine a lot haha

-- My back aches, im still having chest pains and odd dizziness from blood pressure. I hate my flab but havent the time or energy to work on it.

-- I am confused about work, to try for another job or not, will that make me a better mom? can we afford it? etc..

-- I gained 40lbs even. I was weight the DAY she was born (i had a doc appt on the 21, and went into labor at 1:30am the 22nd) I last weighed in at 12lbs over pre preggo.

-- Im still wearing my preggo stuff. My other stuff is in the attic. Haven't pulled it down yet. I know.. LAZY







I wish it were warmer so I could take her out the park again.. its so cold and I am feeling a little cabin fever!

Battling sleep deprivation and keeping Abby from falling asleep while feeding.

How are YOU feeling physically and emotionally?

Physically, I am exhausted and still slightly sore from the c-section.

Emotionally, I am falling more and more in love with this child everyday. I feel very blessed.


Have you weighed yourself yet? What clothes are you wearing??

I weigh 5 pounds less than I did before I got pregnant and I wear mostly pre-pregnancy clothes. Some with a compression bandage they gave me at the hospital.

I am pumping, and giving formula. we just switched from similac to Good Start because of gas issues. he did not latch on which is why i am pumping. 3-4 ounces every 2-3 hours.

baby gets PO'd if I try to put him down, he likes to be carried all the time. I can't get anything done around the house bc of htis. he wakes up at night every 2.5 to 3 hours, I'm exhausted!

How are YOU feeling physically and emotionally?

physically just very tired. when I get really tired my c section scar gets sore.

at my 2 week apt I was back to my original weight. My clothes are still in storage so I'm wearing some maternity stuff and my hubbys things around the house. I still have a belly and wonder if it will ever be flat

Trying to establish a schedule. Colin doesn't sleep much during the day most days but sleeps the night so I am scared to mess with anything

Physically, I am feeling pretty good - I do get adominal pain when i go walking though hopefully that will end soon doctor wasn't to concerned.

-Just trying to figure out how to adjust to life with a baby. He is a very good baby so it hasn't been too bad so far! I just get nervous about every little thing, not knowing if I am doing the right thing.

How are YOU feeling physically and emotionally?
-Physically, I am feeling so much better. I have been taking long walks which has really helped. My incision is still sore so I'm hoping that starts to feel better soon. I am looking foward to being able to go running again!

-Emotionally, I am 100% better then I was the first week. Wow, I never expected to be so weepy and overwhelmed from the hormones!! Now I'm getting nervous cause DH goes back to work and I'm not sure what I am going to do with this little baby all day long!!

I have 9lbs to go and I am still just wearing sweats. I can't have anything tight against my incision since it's still sore. I'm sure my pre-preg clothes don't fit yet since I still have a little pouch of a belly!!

Kaylie gets gassy and has acid reflux. we switched to the enfamil ar and just started her on zantac drops twice a day. hoping this makes things better for her

im really good physically.....csection incision can get numb and tingley thats about it....waiting for my period....boobs r sore had a headache so i think its coming.

Physically my left arm is still kinda numb from a nurse who bruised the hell of it trying to find my vein. I am a little concerned with how it feels 1 week later.


Emotionally--I am SOOOO much better this time around. Knock on wood I don't think I have PPD, which I suffered from with DD.

I gained about 35lbs, lost a little more than half already. My old jeans are screaming on me but I am squeezing into them for incentive. My belly fits into regular shirts. I went to a funeral yesterday in a regular button down shirt.

Physically, I am starting to feel better, my back and shoulder are KILLING me b/c I have a pinched nerve.
Emotionally, I am happier than I have ever been, but it can be challenging at times.

I gained about 62lbs. I lost 30 as of last week, but suspect I have since lost some more b/c I can get into my size 4 jeans now - (can't zip them though) I have another 30 to go. It is getting annoying because I am too small for my maternity clothes and too big for my regular clothes, so right now I am stuck in stretch pants or sweatpants and ill fitting tee shirts. My goal is too fit into my normal clothes by 11/9, DS baptism

What are your biggest challenges right now?

Trying to get Aidan on a night feeding schedule. Sometimes he's hungry after 2-3 hours. At night, he is up and after his feeing he doesn't easily fall asleep.

How are YOU feeling physically and emotionally?

Physically, my c-section incision recovery has been great.

Emotionally, it's been a week so I've cried out of happiness. It was a high risk pregnancy so very greatful to have him with us.

I am extremely swollen from the failed induction. I have not weighed myself nor do i want to just yet. I cannot wait to start my workout routine.
