Newborn Sleeping Question....Is It Normal?

DD turned 1 month 2 days ago, normally, there has really been no sleep pattern, she would be up every 3-4 hours to eat. The last 2 nights have been amazing, I feel like a human being again. Saturday night, she ate at 9:30pm, slept until 3:45am, she ate and slept again until 6:45am. Last night, she ate at 8pm, slept until 3:45am, ate and slept until 8:00am.
I am not taking it for granted, I am sure tonight could be a while different ballgame, but does it seem normal that she is sleeping a little more? I thought I would have to wait a few more weeks or even months until she slept longer....

Re: Newborn Sleeping Question....Is It Normal?

By a month, we definitely had some long stretches in there, and by 7weeks, she was sleeping consistently from like 10pm-6am. So, while I also don't want to get your hopes up, she may be starting to get to the point of sleeping through the nightChat Icon Some babies just do it from a really early age.

Re: Newborn Sleeping Question....Is It Normal?

My DD has a few days where she slept a lot. When she was kinda that young. I forget exactly how old she was. It was three days of pure bliss. But, not to be a downer, it ended. Now that she is going to be 10 weeks old she has been sleeping 8-9 hours a night for like a week now. I hope this lasts and I hope it lasts for you!!!

Re: Newborn Sleeping Question....Is It Normal?

At 5 weeks my DS was sleeping like that! And by 10 weeks, through the night. Of course there have been bumps along the way...but he has been a great sleeper from the beginning. It may have to do with being FF though. They say it keeps their bellies full longer.

TOtally normal to start getting into that pattern at this age, but also normal for it to completely change just when you thought it was a set pattern!! GOOD LUCK! I hope it lasts!

Re: Newborn Sleeping Question....Is It Normal?

Ok, so last night, she slept from 9pm until 245am, she ate and then went back to bed until about 645am. Not bad, she has been up all morning so far...
