Newborns who won't sleep in cribs/bassinets?

We don't have a bassinet, since the crib is in our room. DD won't sleep in it! She sleeps in her bouncy seat that we put IN the crib LOL! She will be 4 weeks on Monday. Do you think all that vibrating is bad for her? TIA

My neice was like this, she wouldnt sleep any place except for her car seat. They started putting the car seat inside the crib and then finally after doing that for awhile, they were able to put her in crib to sleep.

DS simply couldnt sleep flat on his back until he was about 8 weeks old. He slept either in the bouncy seat or on us...when he turned 2 months old he simply adjusted and has been sleeping in his bassinet ever since...DS has reflux and it may have attributed to it. He is now able to lay flat and put himself to sleep every night.

we're having the same problem over here (DD is 6 weeks). in the crib we can only get a 1-2 hour stretch of sleep out of here. in the bouncy seat, she easily sleeps 5-6 hours at a stretch. we really wanted to get her in the crib, but it's not working. last night was pretty much torture!

I'm starting to think she doesn't like sleeping flat on her back.
