Newly Potty Trained - How do you know when you're getting "played"?

DS has been potty trained for 2 weeks. He's doing great and actually hasn't had an accident in over a week but I'm still paranoid about him not getting to the potty in time when he has to go. He can sense this and now seems to be using it to get out of things - bedtime, eating, time outs. I'm not sure if he thinks he has to go or if he just wants to get out of bed, up from the table, out of time out for a bit and just sits there. Sometimes he will go but other times it's clearly a game. There's no way to know whether he's telling the truth or not. I do put him back to whatever he's doing but it drags everything out a lot...

Do I start calling him on it and risk an accident or just keep playing this game for a while?

For things like bed time, I let DD get out of bed. Meals - no. If she has an accident, her chair is plastic and it sits on plastic and is very easy to clean. Time outs are a bit harder. My DD will force herself to pee out of spite. In fact she does pee all over the floor when she gets put in time out.
