Re: Newlyweds w/ Baby thoughts...

I was hoping someone else would post about this! I'm in the same boat... I know I want to have a baby, but not sure if I'm ready to give up my current lifestyle. I am 31, and was just married July 3rd. I don't want to wait too long, but I want to enjoy being married. Everyone says to wait a year, and I tend to agree, but DH is like,
"If it happens, it happens!" (He wouldn't be upset if we got pregnant, but I think I would cry...) Is there ever really a "good" time to have a baby, anyway? Sorry, I'm of no help - this was more of a stream-of-consciousness reply! Chat Icon

Im in the same boat. I keep on telling DH that I am "itchy" and not to "scratch" me! (referring to the baby itch) ha ha. I just want to enjoy this time with him but I keep on getting itchy!! Thank God I am on the pill!

Re: Newlyweds w/ Baby thoughts...

We are not being careful anymore. If it doesn't happen in six months or so I am going to temp and use opk's. We are both 25 this fall so we do have time, but we don't want to wait. DH & I have been together for 5 years, and have lived together for 4. We were married in January. We figure there is never going to be a time where we feel 100% ready for a Chat Icon I am very excited/nervous at the same time.

We are not TTC! Im very young, 23 (almost 24) DH is 26. We want to travel and enjoy our fun lifestyle. I think we'll stop being careful in about 4 more years.

We got married June 6th and the Dr. believes we conceived around the 10th while on our HM. We are very excited. We've been living together for a few years already and I think that makes a big difference... I mean technically it's like we have been married this whole time.

We will be married a year on Oct. I just turned 26. We're in no rush. Right now we have paid off our cc debt and have been saving money. We also need to move into a bigger place first. Maybe in a year we will start trying.

We got married in April and we're already knocked up - 8 weeks! We started trying right away because DH is 33 and I'm 29 and we want more than 1 so we wanted to get this party started.

Re: Newlyweds w/ Baby thoughts...

i definitely have the itch, more some days than others. i have several friends with babies and who are pregnant again and DH has 2 cousins who just had babies. we said we would wait 2 years of being married before having a baby, but that doesn't mean we can't try!

We will be married a year in October and have enjoyed this past year together, we never lived together before but dated for 6 years. I think we are going to start trying in the springtime and if all goes well will have a baby spring/summer 2011, after 2 years!Chat Icon

Before we got married, I said I wanted to wait a year....and now that we just got married I have gotten the baby itch!!! I want to get off the pill in 6 months.... DH is kinda on the fence because he wanted to wait a year but Im afraid it might take a while to get pregnant bc my body needs to regulate from getting off the pill.... Ive been on the pill for over 10 yrs!!

Hi girls new here! Married 2 weeks!!!

I know I'm going to sound terrible saying this, but I'm not sure if I'm having a baby itch or if I'm just feeling out of sorts from not having the wedding to look forward to. so embarassing but I figured maybe I'm not alone Chat Icon

I don't think it's terrible to feel that way. It's the next step isn't it? It's supposed to be and everyone asks me when! For me, I did feel that way after the wedding but even more so when friends and co-workers became pregnant. Wanting a baby would come and go.

I feel like that. I have all these cute tank-tops that say 'bride to be' etc. Im not a bride to be anymore! Getting married was the most exciting thing i've had to look forward to but now it's done! While we have lots to look forward too nothing will ever match getting married, it truly was the happiest day of my life. I wish we could do it again & again!
I can honestly say I miss not having my wedding to look forward too. I am too young, enjoying my career, & just not ready for a baby at all.

Re: Newlyweds w/ Baby thoughts...

I just got married in August, we said that we would wait a little while, but honestly, I don't want to. We have been together for 5 years and lived w/eachother for almost 3 years. I feel like nothing really is holding us back.

I feel like we are ready, even though we have only been married for a month Chat Icon . Although I guess I feel alittle embarrassed to even talk about trying to any family/friends, b/c I feel like they would think we are crazy for wanting that so early.

What do you ladies think?

Honestly, same situation here.. 5 years and counting.. Family is always asking and we talk about it but not soo much.. I think we are just going to let it happen. Not strive for it.. But next year we will definitly start working on a little something.. Chat Icon Chat Icon
