Next steps for home buying process?? please help...
I am so confused and overwhelmed!!!
So these are the steps I understand so far...
Buyer offers on house.
Seller accepts offer.
Buyer schedules inspection for the property.
Buyer relays attorney information to Seller/Seller's Agent.
Seller's Attorney forwards Buyer's Attorney a copy of the contract.
Now what....?
When does the buyer review the contract? Does the buyer and seller meet together with their attorneys to sign contract? Do I pay with personal check or cashier check at this meeting? Please help!!!

Ok, once your attorney gets the contract, he/she should call you in to go over it. At that point, you should have your downpayment check ready. It can be a personal check. You won't meet with the sellers. At this point, you should not communicate with the sellers..all communication should go through attorneys or R.E. agents. Buyer's & Seller's attorney may go back a forth a few times to iron out details int he contract. The signed contract & Deposit will then be sent to the seller's attorney and sellers will sign it. You'll get one original signed copy. At this point, your attorney will order a title report and you should be working on your financing.
HTH! Any other questions?
