Re: night #1 without the swaddle
Awh, how'd he do? Up every couple of hours?
You know that Syd is back in it right? After 2 weeks and regressing all the way back to waking every 2 hours I said forget it! I'll try again in a couple of weeks. It's tough.

he was up a lot from 8:00 to 10:00 and then slept till 12:40. then he was up at 2, 3 and 4 and never went back to sleep after that. i ended up caving in and feeding him at 5 - which was okay because he ate last at 6:30 last night.
i know you mentioned that sydnie was being swaddled again... honestly i would still be swaddling him (until he was 10 years old, preferably ) but he has been breaking out of it and waking himself up 10 times at night so i figure breaking him of the swaddle habit can't be much worse

Re: night #1 without the swaddle
Oh, going through the same thing. We ended up starting w/ one arm out at a time and that worked out better. We tried it cold turkey, but it was a disaster!!
Now, he's waking still for other reasons

Re: night #1 without the swaddle
Hang in there. It's tough. We had to do it at 4 months (i would have preferred not to, but that's a whole other issue ) and he was up every 2 hours.
Are you putting ds in a sleep sack? That helped ds. We also quit cold turkey because the one arm out was just p*ssing him off.
It will get better. It's going to take a few days though.

Have you tried the long sleeve sleep sacks? I transitioned Anthony to that with no problem

Same here, I found the transition was easier cold turkey with a sleep sack!
