Night time Potty Training help
My son will be 5 next month and still cannot go a night without wetting the bed. He still wears pulliups for this reason b/c I will lose my mind if I have to get up everynight to change the sheets, etc.
Now, DD who will be 3 next month is potty trained and was doing GREAT at night...dry all the time. Then all of a suddne for the past few weeks, shes been wet in the middle of the night. I'm not so worried about her, since she is not even 3 yet, but anyone have any advice on helping my 5 year old wake up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night? TIA!

Re: Night time Potty Training help
The only thing I can think of is limiting him how much he drinks at night. Maybe have his last cup 2 hours before bedtime.
I haven't attempted to do night time training with my DS yet (I think when I run out of this pack of pullup's I am going to start),but he is 3.5.
Have you asked the ped.? Do you think he uses the pullup's as a security of some sort or is lazy to get out bed and walk to the bathroom?

Re: Night time Potty Training help
Some kids just aren't ready to be trained by 5. My sister's niece was in pull-ups at night till she was in second grade because she was that deep of a sleeper at night and same with a little boy that my husband was a nanny for. I mean, think about it, at his age, don't you think he'd get up to use the bathroom if he realized he had to? Some kids just can't physically do it at that point. I'd ask the ped., but in my experience, it's not that unusual.
