Nintendo Switch for 5 Y/O
I'm thinking of getting my DD (5.5 y/o) a Nintendo Switch. She plays a lot of games on my tablet, but silly sort of games- hatch a unicorn and raise, Roblox, etc. I've been trying to find what games would be good for her.... So far I came up with MarioKart (always for everyone lol), Carnival Games, Paw Patrol, Animal Crossing, and Minecraft (is this too advanced for her? I figured it's very similar to Roblox but man I don't know, I'm so out of touch! )
Any other must have games? I don't really care if she's "learning" it's for entertainment.

We love all the Mario games. Mario Party is the best! My kids also love Mario Tennis and Yoshi"s Crafted World (I think that's the name).
ETA - And Dance Party. They love that!!

My DD is the same age. She loves Mario Party, Yoshi’s World and the Goose Game.

Re: Nintendo Switch for 5 Y/O
Thanks!!! This is awesome. I was only planning on getting her the Switch Lite, does she need the real switch for the motion games?

Spend the extra money and get the regular Switch. If you ever want to play games as a family, you will need to be able to hook it up to the TV. We like to do the racing games and the just dance together.
Also - make sure the games are not reading intense. We got my DS some Pokemon games since he is obsessed with Pokemon, but it is so reading heavy that he refuses to play it.

Gotcha! Makes total sense. Thanks for the input!
