nipple cream, those of you who are breastfeeding
When do you use the nipple cream? Is it safe if the baby tastes it? So confused about it, any advice on the use of it.

Get the lansinoh lanolin one (or the medela one.) Both are safe for the baby!
ETA: In the beginning, I was putting it on constantly...always right after I fed dd...Now, just really when I feel a bit sore.

It is safe if it doesnt say to wash it off
I used it right after nursing so it would have time to absorb before I nursed again

The Lansinoh one is great. I never breastfed, I only pumped, but if you're using it and wearing breast pads (which I would TOTALLY recommend othewise you'll ruin all your bras), most of it rubs off anyway.

I use the lansinoh one. For the first week or so I used it constantly. After every single feeding. Now I only use it occasionally if my nipples are sore. It's completely safe for your baby and you do not need to wash it off every time you BF.

Tea bags!!! They were a life saver for me. I was always cracked and bleeding!
Any lanolin cream is ok....I was told to stay away from the medela one.
There are also soothing pads that help!!!
