I am sorry that she upset you- she's a tool- just because you didnt have a formal job as a nanny or babysitter since 2007- doesnt mean your work as a sahm doesnt count.
eta- I dont think I would have hung up on her though.

I think her reasoning is kind of ridiculous. But maybe she realized that too and thats why she's calling you back?? IDK. I would at least hear what she has to say, if you need a job and you have the experience for this particular one.

I am also a SAHM since 2007 and am nervous about finding a job in the future.
She sounds like she was a little rude, but, I don't think I would have hung up on her. May not help the situation.

I think you might be reading into it too much- she said something dumb but from your original post it didnt say that she said that you were incorrect for staying home with your dc. Just correct her, give her a chance to see that you are right (and intelligent and well-spoken) and then let her help you get a job

Thank you and yes I agree hanging up was a little rude, but I was just so shocked the way she spoke to me(read above) I actually just emailed the office manager when I posted on here and explained what happened. she just called me back ,apologized for the secretary saying : "that is an UNACCEPTABLE way to talk to out clients" and told me they would love to work with me, bc it sounds like I have great references and they are sure they'll be able to find me something. She would like to meet me next week.

I guess once again read above and believe me I don't get angry or annoyed very easily at all.
So I had a good reason, it's just kind of hard to explain on here her exact tone of voice and the ways she spoke to me.
