So the woman ovearboard story gets a little more mysterious...
Norwegian Cruise Line says that they have video of Mindy Jordan falling overboard and say that she was alone in the room. It just doesn't add up.

i didn't realize they had surveillance footage on ships... and unless they were videotaping her balcony (which i have a HUGE problem with) how can they know exactly what happened? i am assuming in this case they mean that their surveillance footage is of the hallways, so they could see the boyfriend leaving the room.

So weird...the bf remained on the ship as well. I don't know why, or can't judge him for that. But I wouldn't want to remain on the ship.

Captures Woman's Fall from NCL Ship
Representatives from the F.B.I. and authorities from Bermuda boarded Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Dawn this morning after it docked at Bermuda's King's Wharf, the only port of call on its seven-night cruise from New York. Their goal? To investigate the incident that presumably ended the life of Mindy Jordan, 46, who fell overboard soon after the ship set sail on Sunday evening.
Although the investigation is ongoing, one thing has been firmly established: Ms. Jordan was alone and acted alone when she fell from the balcony of her Deck 9 stateroom and into rough seas. According to an official statement from the cruise line, Norwegian Dawn's extensive and advanced safety and surveillance system has documented, from both inside and outside the ship, most of the time that remains in question.
Following is a time line of events, as reported in the NCL statement:
Mindy Jordan and Jorge Caputo dined at the Garden Cafe with the couple they were traveling with; both couples returned to their assigned adjacent staterooms at approximately 7:28 p.m.
At 7:36 p.m., Jorge left his stateroom and went to join his friends in their stateroom next door. From that moment on, Mindy is alone in her stateroom.
At 7:53 p.m., surveillance cameras from the exterior of the ship captured Mindy falling overboard from her balcony, straight into the water. Shortly thereafter, an emergency call was made from the friends' stateroom and Jorge is seen exiting to seek help.
At 7:57 p.m., a man overboard announcement was made and the ship's crew began lifesaving operations, including the launch of two rescue boats.
NCL has offered to make arrangements for Jordan's family to join the ship in Bermuda tomorrow and view the surveillance footage. In its statement, NCL says it remains committed to assisting the family in any way possible during this tragic time.

That's what it sounds like to me, that they were outside on their balcony (friends) and she was on hers and she tried to get over to theirs or something. Have these friends spoken publicly yet?

People that were onboard have been saying all along that she was trying to climb from her balcony to her friends right next door. Why would you do that?

Def. I think that is it. When we went last week on our cruise people were drunk 24/7. As soon as they boarded they were getting drunk. I couldn't believe it. Their bar bill must have been $2000 by the end of the trip.

I think alcohol was definitely involved.
The boyfriend and the friends had to have been out on the balcony in the other room in order to know that she fell. Otherwise how else would you know.
She had to have been drunk or something because noone in their right state of mind would just climb a balcony...
At first I thought maybe she committed suicide but she didn't just climb on the balcony and jump she climbed and was trying to get to the other room. She was doing something daring and had to have been drunk or high on something in order to try and pull that stunt. Maybe they were both drunk and he dared her to do something like that. I just don't know. I'm trying to make sense out of this mystery.

i was thinking the same thing? Its so wierd. Why would someone try to climb on the balcony. A 46 year old nurse? It wasnt like it was so drunk teenager being stupid. Granted I dont know her life style but still, seems weird.

People act so much different when they go away esp on a cruise for some reason. They just let loose and get nuts. I can see this happening. Esp with some of the people we cruised with last week.
