No hunger
I feel really really nauseous most of the day and have gotten sick 3 times alone today. I am not hungry for anything. Is that really bad? I kept my vitamin down thankfully but I try to make myself food to force myself and I start to gag just smelling it. All I ate today was a half a hotdog and some salad. Is that really bad for the baby? I'm trying to think of what I may be in the mood for but I'm reallly not in the mood for anything.

it will get better, trust me. I was the same way, and couldnt keep food down. When you get to your second trimester you will not STOP eating. I know what you are going through

Thanks. I called in sick today because I was afraid of how bad I may get sitting up at my desk all day and I don't want anyone there to know just yet. What do I do in the meantime? How did you force yourself to eat?

I called in sick a lot too, and Im a teacher, my students finally caught on that Im PG.
I ate small meals. I ate a lot of fruit, so I didnt dehydrate. I couldnt eat any meat, the smell made me puke.
Try to eat grapes, watermelon and honeydue.
That is what I lived on. Dont worry about your little guy, just make sure you are hydrated. Are you able to keep water down??
If not, try s u c king on ice chips.

Thanks for all the tips. I suppose I can drink more water than I have been. I'll experiment with what works while I'm home today.

I agree with Diane. Watermelon helped me and try eat toast. I sucked on ice cubes too.
Isn't this the worst? I am so sorry you are not feeling well.

and everybody says "be careful what you wish for" and I always thought to myself, I hope they get it to, if it will make it more real to them. Where is the kicking in the arse icon?

Im 7 weeks exactly today! My nausea has only got better...week 5 and 6 were terrible...I puked about four times in two weeks. Then i learned to control it..I realized I need to drink more water and stay hydrated..that helped alot! I kept little mini cheese bit crackers next to the bed along with a dry box of cereal and i would eat a handful and wait 15 minutes then get all the way out of my bed. Thats my routine and its worked great. As far as not eating i am just getting my appetite back...but everyday is diff...somedays I want to eat nothing..and the next day i want to eat everything. Burgers, egg salad and waffles. SO weird lol...good luck but they say it does get better after 13 weeks!
