Let me get this straight. Santas in Australia were told not to say "Ho, Ho, Ho" since Americans use the word "Ho" to degrade women. Yet in America there is no issue with Santas saying "Ho, Ho, Ho".
That makes no sense what so ever. Or Australians are the most PC people on the planet.

i also saw on the wnbc website that not only is here the holiday tree, there are also pictures from houses last year who had the nicest holiday lights

Actually, that's how Santa got a red suit in the first place! I'm not sure if there was a specific color that he was supposed to wear (although, I think a lot of Germanic folklore has him wearing green) but Coke put him in a red suit in an ad campaign in the 30's, and it's become the norm ever since.
