Actually, that's how Santa got a red suit in the first place! I'm not sure if there was a specific color that he was supposed to wear (although, I think a lot of Germanic folklore has him wearing green) but Coke put him in a red suit in an ad campaign in the 30's, and it's become the norm ever since.

Hey question: the woman who got offended by the ho ho ho.. do you think that maybe her feeling that way, should tell you something.. like a little bit self consious??? hmmm

Thats ok, ill have my ho ho ho on the roof of my house lit up like rockafella, as i do every year. & I will have my CHRISTMAS tree decorated to the nines & I WILL wish everyone merry christmas . & if no one likes that then take that !!!!! This stuff is so silly

Nothing like taking more innocence out of the holidays for kids than comparing santa's "ho ho ho's" to a degrading term for women.
I can think of about a million more things offensive in the world than this. I don't understand this at all!!

What offends me are the women who actually find this stuff offensive. It's 2007, ladies. We aren't fighting for the right to vote anymore or the right to attain higher education. If we cry wolf at every stupid little thing that could possibly somehow (if totally and completely stretched our imagination) would be offensive to women, then we're doing ourselves as woman a GIANT disservice.
Let's save our time and energy for women's issues that REALLY need our time and attention. Whining about this sort of stuff just makes people not want to listen when the are legitimate women's rights concerns.
