If so, I am ALL for that! 
I am quite happy for this but, I think overall it's a bad idea.

I did not check online so forgive me if I am wrong but I do not think that people who already have the restriction will be able to have it removed without a vision test. I think that could be an awful liability for the state. However, as it is, I recently passed the DMV test without my glasses, which are for distance, yet I do not believe that I should be driving without my glasses and I never do it.

Instead of vision test, I wish they would impose a written test every 10 years or so. Some people are CLUELESS of the rules of the road.
