Noisy neighbors...
We live in a condo and our neighbor BLASTS music starting at 5:24AM. Since I generally don't get up for an hour or so after that, I'm not happy.
The few times I have met this neighbor she has been such a b!tch! I am dreading the confrontation.
Is it a cop out to leave her a signed note? Should we go talk to her about it? It just amazes me how inconsiderate people are...I can hear the shower so she blasts it from the bedroom so she can listen in the shower. We can hear every word, every song...

OMG! Do we live in the same building?? I have HORRIBLE, RUDE upstairs neighbors! I live in a condo as well and these people freaking vacuume at 6 in the morning & after 10pm at night and sound like they have a freakin bowling alley up there. We spoke to the super and he said that the woman who sold us the condo had MAJOR problems with them so we are now writing to the board. There has to be a certain time where the noise has to stop!!!! I would hold off on the letter. Don't put yourself out there just yet. Have you spoken to the Super?? Do you have a board/committee that you can write to or call?

The crazy thing is that this woman NEVER SLEEPS! I can't even retaliate because she's up there stomping around at 2AM but gets up at 5:24!
We don't have a super, but we do have a board...I know I should talk to her first, but I am DREADING it...

Re: Noisy neighbors...
We had an issue like this. We talked first, got a lot of attitude, and hoped that they would comply anyway.
A couple months later, it got bad again, and this time we wrote a note. We made a copy for ourselves too, and for the landlord in case it came to that.
It didn't come to that, thankfully. I wouldn't retaliate until you've given her a verbal and written chance. Or at all, if your building administration would be willing to get involved. Are there any "rules" about noise?

There are rules...Hours that you are not supposed to play loud stuff or run major appliances, but I doubt anyone even reads the handbook...
