North Folk...where to stay...large group?

So my college friends and I decided that we want to start getting together every year at the end of April. Next year we decided to do the North Fork of LI. Our friends who live in Patchogue are expecting a baby boy in December so it will be easier for them and a large majority lives in Boston so they can take the ferry over.

Does anyone know of a hotel that is out by Riverhead or Port Jefferson or even Greenport that a large group can stay in? Best bet would be to not use cars but if we have to that's ok too. Please any input would help...especially on hotels (NO B&B's...this is not a group that would want that and there are only about 4 children coming).
TIA!

There is a new hotel right next to the riverhead aquarium that looks nice. It's attached to it, you could probably call the aquarium and get the name. It would be great for people with kids and the vineyards are on the same road.

ETA- here- I googled it. I'll post the link. hotel

Hotel Indigo - Riverhead
Holiday Inn Express - Riverhead
Hilton Garden Inn - Riverhead
Hyatt - Riverhead

these are the only name brand hotels in Riverhead (or out East)

We stayed at the Cliffside Condo Resort in Greenport it was perfect for our large group! And great since we had kids with us because there is a good size kitchen area so you can prep small meals.

We just stayed at the Cliffside Condos in Greenport! It was awesome! They have 2-3 bedroom condos Chat Icon

We've also stayed at the Forham House B&B in Greenport but I think that is 16 and over.

Also try The Sound View Inn

ITA - i stay there every summer

they have two bedroom two bathroom condos for rent but there is a minimum stay (i think 3 nights)

they also have bbq pits and access to the beach - only a 5 minute drive into the greenport town

just wanted to add - we've also rented houses too and sometimes that's the cheaper route but you might not be on the water

depends on your preference

btw cliffside has an on-site pool as well

This is where my brother booked a big block of rooms for his wedding that was on the North Fork. We had a good experience there as well.
