i don't SAH now, but will when we have kids, at least for a few years.its something we decided together. DH and i have takled about it since our relationship got serious. his mom was a SAHM, and my mom had a work schedule where she was around a lot for us, so we both had it growing up and want that for our kids.
we 've already started doing things to make sure it will be ok. i knew i would need a bigger car, so i bought it now and will pay it down while we're both working. we also are buying his parents house and getting a good deal on it so that will be manageable also.

The job market sucks down here and its one of the perq's of following him around the country and dealing with deployments.

I only worked temp part time even prior to my son.
