Not a NY team fan????
I'm a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan!
(no mean comments LOL I'm just curious if there are others not to get bashed by Giants/Jets fans)
Anyone else a fan of a non- NY state team????

Yup!!
Baseball- Detroit Tigers! And, I am born and raised in NY! But, my dad was a Brooklyn Dodgers fan when he was a kid (therefore hating the Yanks) and when they moved he was so mad he found a new team, Detroit. SO, I was raised a Detroit fan.
Fun going to Yankee Stadium as a kid in your Detroit gear, all excited to see a game, and have grown men scream and curse and throw things at you...actually terrifying 
Football- Miami Dolphins- never a big football fan till I met DH and I just adopted his team- again, he was born and raised in (Western) NY and NOT a Bills fan so we share similar experiences with this LOL

The Bills are technically the only NY football team!

No offense, but I hate this argument. It's not the state they represent, but the city. You don't call them the NY Bills...they represent Buffalo and East Rutherford is a suburb of New York City (aka New York, NY)
As for me, I adopted the San Diego Chargers when we moved out there. They weren't so good at the time and we got great tickets super cheap, so it was really fun to go to games.
LaDainian Tomlinson was a rookie at the time, so I was really psyched for him to come to the Jets this year (DH's team of choice and we have season tix 20 rows behind Fireman Ed in the new stadium!)

I am a Yankees fan. No team affiliation with any other sports. I grew up watching the Dolphins because my dad is a Dolphins fan.
My DH is from Detroit and is a die-hard Detroit Fan--all teams!
Tigers
Lions
Red Wings
Pistions
Michigan Wolverines
I feel bad for him because he only gets to see 2 Lions games per year. He does see a lot of the other teams but I know he would like to see more Lions games.

Yep, but I'm not originally from LI. I'm an Orioles and Ravens fan. Oddly, DH is from LI, but is a die hard Redskins fan.

They are the only other MLB team with WS victories in double digits (Cards 10, Yanks 27), and, the only team with an edge on the Yankees in the WS (3-2).

True, Detroit DID play the Yanks tough at that time, especially Frank Lary.
In 1961 the Yankees won 109 games, the Tigers 101!
