Not eating due to teething... when to worry?
Anthony is cutting his 1st tooth right now and he has no interest in eating. So far he has only taken 6oz formula today and a few spoonfulls of peaches.
When do I start to worry? Is there anything else I can give him to suppliment (like pedialite)?

How old is he? have you given him motrin?
After i give that to jacen when he's teething hardcore, about an hour later he's able to eat.
But don't worry. He'll eat when he needs to. Just don't be surprised if he wakes up at night to eat (if he doesn't do that already).

as long as he is giving you wet and dirty diapers i wouldn't worry... DS sometimes doesn't want to eat when he is teething too.

Re: Not eating due to teething... when to worry?
I just went through this 2 weeks ago. My DS has his 2 bottom teeth but the top one's are now starting to come through. During the day I would use "little teethers or baby orajel" and I did seem to help a little with his eating but he def. wasn't himself. At night I would use tylenol to help him sleep. I wouldn't force the baby food because I think it's more important for them to get the formula. It has all the nutrition they need.

Re: Not eating due to teething... when to worry?
We are going through the exact same thing. DD is 11 months and probably cutting her 3rd tooth right now. She refuses to eat, but will gladly take bottles. We're trying new things like waffles and mashed potatoes, but feeding her has become a hassle!
I figured as long as she has wet and dirty diapers, she'll be OK. Also, my mom says that a baby won't starve, she'll eat when she wants to!

I've found that motrin always work better for teething!
