Both girls do that when they are teething, it must hurt them to s uck on the bottle. They do make up for it though when the pain isn't that bad.
How old is DC? If older than 6 months I'd do motrin instead of tylenol-it's kick teething pain harder.

Re: teething and not eating help, ASAP, please
my dd is 6 months and has been refusing bottles off and on for the past couple of weeks. sometimes she'll stop at 3 oz and push it away and put her hands in mouth so i know its the gums that are bothering her. it seems to help a bit when i give her a couple of teething tablets prior to eating and/or a cold washcloth/teether to numb the discomfort. her teeth aren't out yet

If she is crying that much, i say take her to ped. She might have an ear infection - even without a fever. DD has one last weekend and she had a very low grade fever, but ped. said it was a bad infection. DD was crying for at least 2 hours and she never cries that long.
ETA: Maybe the sucking on the bottle is hurting her ear also.

Infant Motrin is nothing to be afraid of
Well if the doc doesn't call you back, i have dosages here in my baby book from my PED for motrin, give me baby's weight and age and i'll look it up for you if you want.
My DD gets 1.25 at that age.

There are homeopathic teething remedies that are available OTC if you are hesitant to give pain meds. Hylands tablets work pretty well.
