While I'm completely on board with the Coast Guard theory, I agree with what pp's have said about it just being your cycle most likely going through changes. I was 28 days like clockwork for years before I had DS. Now? It ranges from 23-27 days. Fun!
I'd say just wait a few days and then see what happens. If you don't get AF, test again. If still BFN, I would make an appointment with your doc to see what the deal is.
p.s. Now that you have my number, I fully expect a call the next time you run into any hottie Coast Guard guys (or any other hotties in official uniform!)

I think it might just be a function of getting older - as you hit your early to mid thirties, your cycle starts to change. This definitely happened to me. For years I was like clockwork and had hardly any AF symptoms, but in the last year (I'm 33) everything started changing and I started having some seriously off cycles with some serious AF symptoms. It doesn't mean you're heading into menopause, it just means that your body is changing a little as you hit your 30's

I'm not saying "old", I"m just saying as we transition from our 20's to our 30's, things change. Hey, if you're old that means I'm old too, which is not something I'm even close to accepting!

Honestly it sounds like you are pregnant or your cycle is going through one of those adjustments that happen every few years.
I think you should go to a doctor and get a blood test.

I agree. With DS I did not get a + on an HPT until a week after AF was due.
A blood test can tell you right away.

I would go to the doctor and get a test. It sounds exactly like the beginning of my pregnancy! I remember getting crampy and thinking "oh no, another month, no baby", but no AF.

Are you under alot of stress lately? If so that could cause you to miss your AF for the month.

X-rays aren't good for you if you are pregnant. It is worse than the dreaded cold cuts.

Ladies - I took another dollar tree test yesterday, and its still negativo! 
I'm assuming AF has taken her purty lil scarlet self on a vacay somewhere!

I say try a FRER test. I might be more sensitive.
