Not PG but PLS Recommend North Nassau Ob/Gyn

Hello – im not PG nor TTC (yet) but hoping within the next 2 years or so. I recently moved to the border of Queens and Long Island – in the Northern Nassau Great Neck New Hyde Park area and I need to find a new Ob/Gyn since my current doc is on the south shore and im not thrilled with them anyway. I have CIGNA insurance.

Based on reading this board I was going to make an appointment with Dr. Jessica Jacobs since she is very close to my house and seems to be highly recommended around here.

However I was reading the Cigna site and another doc caught my eye – Dr. Jeanine Morris-Rush with Women's Health Professionals in Great Neck. She has a higher rating on the Cigna site than Dr. Jacobs (although Jacobs has a good rating as well).

So I was curious if anyone on here has used Dr. Morris-Rush OR Women's Health Professionals in Great Neck since I cant find much about it online. I like Dr. Jacobs cause of the private practice and im not sure about Morris-Rush’s practice but I don’t think its private.

I’m def looking for a doctor for now (still on BCP) and for the future (OB). Does anyone have any comments on the two docs mentioned? I’m looking for info like office wait times? Number of patients (like rushing back and forth between patients or does she give you a lot of individual time)? Does she remember you personally? Are there any doctors that you can recommend in the area that offer 3d/4d sono’s (I know im thinking WAY into the future but still)?

If you can share with me any of your experiences with any of these docs or any other docs in the area that would be awesome – sorry in advance if this is the wrong board for this but I feel like you all would be the most useful for this question (but ill cross post to health also). Now that this is incredibly lengthy Chat Icon TIA!

I used to live in NHP and used to go to University Plaza Obstetrics and Gynocology in Garden City. They are located at 877 Stewart Ave. (516) 222-0722. Not sure if they take Cigna. There are about 6 or more docs in that practice. Dr. Miller was my doctor. I no longer use them since I moved to Suffolk on the south shore. HTH! GL!

I use women's Health professionals and they are Excellent. I also have Cigna and all the DOcs take the insurance.. If you conceive, you will need to see all the docs but Morris Rush is excellent.. I would check to see if she is delivering...I heard some rumors she wasn't anymore...

I use Dr. Bergman in the practice..

Not pregnant but I wanted to tell you that I used to go to Dr. Jacobs. She was great but I had to switch practices soley due to the fact that her hours were not compatible with mine.

ya know i went to her private practice website and i noticed that the hours arent great. luckily i work nearby too so if the office wait time isnt long i can probably swing early afternoon appointments.

I see Dr. Bergman at Women's Health Professionals. I'll see Dr. Rush in 3 weeks... no clue what she's like.

I met Dr. Oppenheim today and she was nice, and I saw Dr. Tobin (she no longer delivers babies). But Dr. Bergman is by far my favorite. Which is weird since I really only wanted a female OB/GYN, but I like him.

The wait times there are great... I think 10 min. top. I never feel like I'm rushed out of there and Dr. Bergman definitely remembers me. No clue about the 3d/4d sono's since I never wanted one of those.

I see Dr. Oppenheim and love her. Dr. Bergman delivered my son, and I think I might have him do my c-section this time as well....he's great Chat Icon
