Not sure how this can be.....Insurance related...
I have coverage for infertility for $25,000 lifetime. It includes everything.....
I will soon be receiving my 3rd drug protocol (this one was about 7K). So far, I've received about $21,000 worth of medicine and I had one ER at $3,000.
I called my insurance company to see how much I had left and she said I only used about $1,200 worth of infertility benefits.....ummmm.......
The medicine must not be being put in as being under infertility, right? I can't think of anything else. I don't want to bring it to their attention though, either, you know?
I would hate for them to figure it out later and then bill me.....WWYD?

Re: Not sure how this can be.....Insurance related...
My RE office said they bill meds under our normal meds coverage. not under inferility cost. my RE office said i have $10,000 lifetime and will be able to have 3 IVF cycles covered with them. they bill things through your insurance differently for somethings to cut the cost i was told. Hope that helps

Advanced fertility benefits are only er and et which are billed btwn the re and the ins co at the agreed rates which are MUCH less than the rates people with no insurance coverage pay
b/w and sonos are not billed under that

Its also only the allowed amount thats applied to your benefits.
Many times things are MUCH les sthen billed.
A sono can be billed at $500 and only $40 is paid and applied.
