not to be weepy but...
im sad about my friends who died in the WTC and my dad who died 1 month later...somebody cheer me up???

i wish i could say something to help cheer you up, it is hard and you have every right to be weepy! hey you should hear half the stuff i say to people. it's better to get it out then let it sit inside you! please know we are here for you at all times!!

You are entitled to feel sad about your own personal things as well--I am sorry you lost so many people all at once  I get depressed about it sometimes too, and I didn't lose anyone really close to me.

Well said.
I've been reading a lot of Sept 11th books lately - which is painful, but I feel it's important. I'm feeling very contemplative about it lately, can't believe it's 5 years soon.
I think about the people we know who passed and I think about DH being there that day.
We're all here for you.

Please don't downplay your loss because other families are in crisis You have every right to be sad, it was a terrible tragedy.

Just because someone else is having a tough time too, doesn't make your feelings invalid. No matter how long it's been, when someone close to you is gone there will always be a place in your heart that longs to see them again. I hope that you can take comfort in all the wonderful memories you have with them and knowing that they are always watching over you

I agree, I didn't lose anyone that horrible day but I still get so upset whenever I hear or see anything in reference to it.

Thanks everyone. Someone posted about the WTC movie and then I saw the commercial and it just got me thinking about it but it's all good today.
(and i dont think the vino helped the situation. i really wish i hadnt posted this.)
