Now I am getting scared - update saturday
So maybe everyone was not overreacting earlier? (see my other post for details)
I think I really may be in early labor... or real labor... and I am only 34 weeks. I am so scared!
update:
things are better now. i took a long shower and then fell asleep last night. i managed to sleep through most of the night which hasn't happened in weeks. Woke up this morning was still contracting but not as painful as last night and closer to 10 minutes apart. Now they are closer to 12-15 minutes apart. Hoping this was all just a false alarm!

 It sounds like the babies are good weights. Many twins are born early. I am sure everything will be ok.

Julz...
If you think you are then call your doctor...(It can never hurt to be over cautious especially with twins)
At 34 weeks you're really at a good spot with them..
Of course every week counts but even if they came now they'd be OK...
Please keep us posted...

they sent me home with contractions 5 mins apart...
so i'm not sure if/when I should call? some are 3 mins apart some are 8 mins but now its painful.

I would say to call soon since you are early with multiples. That way they can be as cautious as possible.

Hoping everything goes smoothly. We'll be  for you & those babies!!!! I'm sure they'll be just fine. 34 weeks isn't bad for twins. Good luck!!
ETA: I just read your earlier post, and saw the babies weights. Just wanted to say that I think those are amazing weights!!!! I was only 4 weeks early and I was NOT a twin, and I only weighed 4 lbs 10 oz. You must be one awesome mama to get your babies to those weights!!! Nicely done!

I definately would call the Dr & just tell them that you are having varying contractions but that they are painful! You would much rather be safe then sorry especially since you didn't even realize you were having contractions to begin with

When you went to the dr were you dilated at all?
I had contractions like that for WEEKS. It started at 30 weeks and I was put on meds and bedrest for them.
I never dilated though, never went into labor.
If you are scared, call the doctor. You will have to spend some time in L&D, but it will put your mind at ease.
And if the twins WERE to be born now, they would do just fine. 34 weeks is early, but not super early.

Julz, wow!
Truth is everyone is right that the babies are good weights n will be ok.
Best thing is to rest up like you are and if they make their appearance, it will be great n fine!
Hang in there! *hugs*
Keep us posted! I'm still in hospital n finally get to leave in am with my boys.

Hope you called the Dr. I was having contractions that were 3 minutes apart and didn't want to call the dr. Well my husband made me and I was sent to hospital from office and had my baby a few hours later. I was only 11 days early with one baby but the baby flipped during contractions and had the cord around her neck two times!! Good Luck!!
