Now I know "normal" and "Cailen" can't ever go in the same sentence... but is this normal? (Lying about potty!)

Now I know "normal" and "Cailen" can't ever go in the same sentence... but is this normal? (Lying about potty!)
So, I found out recently that Cailen makes pee pee on the potty at daycare. From the teacher. All the time I asked him, he said "no". Since he doesn't go at home, I believe him. The other day Cailen was on the potty when I picked him up. He hopped off when he saw me. The teacher flushed the toilet and told Cailen "good boy". I asked if he went, and she answered "yeah!" as if it was common knowledge.
He started saying "no" that he didn't go. The teacher was surprised about that. Everytime I pick him up, I ask her if he went. She says he goes everyday with her. Cailen started protesting and trying to get out of the room. He does NOT want me to know!!!!!
Cailen answers no all the time. Why won't he tell me??? Is it because he knows he'll have to step up to the potty at home? Is it normal to lie so well at 2 and a half????

I have a problem similar to that. When DH is not home, DS (3) will pee on the potty all day. When Daddy is home, its back to diapers, and having accidents all over the place because he will rip the diapers off before peeing or pooping
Nothing has worked, so I'm just letting him avoid going for now, Next month when DH is home we're stepping it up and forcing him to do it

No but he is your baby, even if he doesn't say or says he's a "big boy" he may not be ready to give up being your baby
