Now that I know the Vacuum Cleaner/Dustbuster trick...
I feel awful because I feel like I use it too much. He is a crankpot today and I can't put him down and I need to get dressed and do some things, so I just put him in his swing, turned on the Dustbuster, and he's out cold. I feel bad

He likes whitenoise! That's all that is, I use a humidifier for it, still to this day at 15 months lol.

Right, but I feel like I deliberately made him go to sleep. And now he's up four minutes later!

There is a CD with a vacuum noise on it.
I had to buy it for Andrew because when he was sick, the only way to get him to rest was to turn on the vacuum.

Ha! Don't feel bad. He needs to rest & you need alone time. I turn on the hairdryer & hang it on the door knob to DS room so that he will nap during the day. As soon as I turn it off, he wakes.
We don't use it at night though.

DH makes fun of me, I've been using hairdryer since day 1.
Recently I've upgraded to a Cloud B giraffe toy, it has a swooshing and a heartbeat sound. Haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, but it came highly recommended.
Cloud B - check it out!

I have the sleep sheep that DS doesn't like unfortunately. I don't think it's loud enough for him.
