I have a Kenmore Progressive, its a canister. I dont think Ill ever go back to upright.. and this one is great on the wood floors!

I have the red Hoover wind tunnel, I like it , does the job and not nearly as $$ as the dyson

Simplicity canister It's a private line b/c it's not sold in stores. You have to go t a dealer. It was recommended to me fro a girl on LIF, she swore by it and boy was she right. I love it!!!!!

For an inexpensive one we had a shark bagless. It works great on Hardwood, tile, but I dont use it on my area rugs.

LOVE my oreck not to mention that this is a B&M store only 10 minutes from me. free 7yr tune-ups and a loaner vacuum when mine is in the shop.
