NPR: Anyone suffer from muscle spasms in their back??
UGH! I have for the past 9 years. It all started after a bad car accident. It only happens a few times a year, so I don't have any meds, don't even think they would work. I've tried muscle relaxers and they really didn't help. I am in agony today, took a vicodin and some motrin, but it's not really helping. I'm at work though, because I can't take off. Getting DD ready this AM was a nightmare..and excrutiating nightmare.
Anyone have suggestions on what might help? I might try to make it to the nail salon and get a massage, but ohter than that..what can I do?

I go to the chiropractor and he does this heat therapy that helps with the inflammation. I do it on my lunch break when I need to.

OMG I have been getting them since I was about 14. Not often, maybe once a year or so but when it hits, it's horrible. I can literally feel the muscle shaking in my back. I get it right in my shoulder blade and it will radiate across to the other blade. It will even hurt to breathe. I have no solutions except for advil.
It sucks. I feel for you!!!
