I had 26 weeks of disability and then 12 fmla weeks ( unpaid) as soon as baby was born.
I hope they made a mistake, doesnt seem "right"

But that's interesting bc I am in a similar situation i as OP and I was told the 12 weeks of FMLA counts in the 26 weeks of disability. So I am not eligible to take FMLA after my disability runs out. I have been out for 6 months when mid july comes so I am in the same boat. I was told I would be terminated as of July 20th if I dont return.
Such BS, yeah FMLA counts in the 26 weeks disability.
OH NO really? Why would or what kind of people would DO this to a person ?I would start threatening to expose this to everyone.

Agree with the OP about requesting it in writing ... I mean try the nice route first of requesting an extension etc. but if that's not working, I'd request the proof. Something smells funny ...

that trully sucks!!!!! i asked my job that same thing since my mc was Jan08, my leave now wont count since it was in 2008.
